My mind, flying at a hundred miles an hour,
Thinking of you causes my heart to melt but the truth hits me.
I lose all sense of emotion.
The truth that one day you will be gone and I may never see your wonderful smile again, a smile that keeps me going, and makes life so much more fulfilling.
Though some may call me naïve or a dreamer I know that destiny will always work no matter what obstacles come in its way.

The sound of your voice makes me quiver in delight, yet lately the absence of it in my life has driven me to the brink of insanity.  
I long to receive any form of communication from you, a reassurance of our belonging.
But inside of me, I get that anxious feeling that you no longer care and that the feeling of belonging is not mutual.
As confusing it may seem, the hope inside of me still consumes me.
A hope that you are thinking of me as I think of you, that even though your voice has not been heard lately, that a flame still exists between us.
Maybe it is just time keeping us apart and that soon we will meet again.
Or maybe you just no longer care.

Sitting here as I think about you, my stomach ties into knots, twisting tighter and tighter as the time apart grows longer and longer. Communication always occurs at the brink of destruction, but the day this communication ceases will be the day that cry a thousand oceans.
